- Where: Urban Farm, Randall’s Island Park, on Wards Meadow Loop.
- Cost and signup: Free; new volunteers must register on Eventbrite. Select the October 25 session in the multi-date listing.
- Under 16: An adult must accompany you and volunteer alongside you.
- Ages 16–17: You can volunteer without an adult if a parent or guardian signs the required waiver.
- Groups larger than five: Contact volunteers@randallsisland.org before arranging a visit.

This is a hands-on morning helping maintain an educational farm, with a chance to see a working compost system up close. Check the Parks listing and registration page before heading over; first-time volunteers need to sign up in advance.
