Prospect Park’s free stroller walks turn a weekday morning with a baby or toddler into a guided nature outing. An Alliance Naturalist leads caregivers and children two and under along the park’s waterways, with birds, streams, flowers, and trees providing the agenda.
What to know
- When: Thursdays, 10 a.m.–noon, through Oct. 29
- Where: Prospect Park Audubon Center, 101 East Drive, Brooklyn
- Cost: Free
- Who: Parents and caregivers with children ages two and under
- Start time: The group leaves promptly at 10 a.m.
- Before you go: Use the event-registration link and check your email for updates or confirmation that the walk met its minimum group size
This is less a fitness march than a reason to get outside with someone who can identify what is happening around the park. The two-hour window also makes it substantial enough to plan around without consuming the whole day.
There are four Thursdays left after this week: Oct. 8, 15, 22, and 29. Register first, then check email before heading out in case the organizer changes or cancels a walk.
