Why 100?
- “Read 100” gives teams a concrete goal that gets them past the anxiety of starting an open-ended review.
- It is not a statistically proven threshold or a magic number. Without a target, “look at the data until you know when to stop” is too vague to motivate action.
- Once people approach the target, the guidance becomes more nuanced: keep reading until new traces stop revealing new patterns. Hamel calls that theoretical saturation.
