Flaco the Owl gets his documentary moment. The Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria hosts Wild City on Saturday, September 19 — a free all-day celebration of the wildlife New Yorkers actually live alongside: Central Park coyotes, Rockaways whales and dolphins, peregrine falcons on high-rises.

Wild City is part of Open Worlds: Science, MoMI’s free community series funded by the Simons Foundation. For anyone who followed Flaco’s run through Manhattan, the documentary screening alone is worth the trip — and the whole day costs nothing.
