Washington Square Park packs a full free week into the end of August: morning yoga under the arch, drop-in art workshops, pétanque on the courts, and salsa dancing at Garibaldi Plaza. Every event below is free and open to anyone who shows up.

- Salsa Social — Wed Sept 2, 6–9 p.m., Garibaldi Plaza: free salsa dancing in the shadow of the arch
