Fall is the best season for street life in New York, and the reason is simple: the avenues stop being unbearable and the city starts closing them to cars on purpose. Secret NYC compiled the full 2026 autumn schedule of fairs, parades, and bazaars — borough by borough, with cross streets.

Almost none of it requires a ticket or a reservation. You check the date, you check the streets, you show up.

Manhattan

  • Sept 17–27 — Feast of San Gennaro, Mulberry Street, Little Italy. The 100th annual edition of the feast; eleven blocks, eleven days.
  • Sept 20 — Bryant Park Area Fair, 41st Street between 6th and 7th Avenues.
  • Sept 20 — Columbus Circle Fair, Broadway from 60th to 61st Street.
  • Sept 20 — Ready for Fall Vintage Bazaar, Grand Bazaar NYC, 100 W 77th St.
  • Sept 23 — A Taste of Grand Bazaar at Hudson Square (midweek pop-up market).
  • Sept 24 — Grand Central Food Festival Series, 45th Street between 3rd and Lexington Avenues.
  • Sept 26 — 6th Avenue Autumn Fair, 6th Ave from 14th to 23rd Streets.
  • Sept 26 — 2026 Global Citizen Festival, Great Lawn, Central Park.
  • Oct 1 — Financial Community Fair, Park Place from Broadway to Church Street.
  • Oct 4 — Lexington Avenue Food Fair, Lexington Ave from 42nd to 57th Streets.

  • Sept 27 — Flatbush Frolic, Cortelyou Road between Coney Island and Ocean Avenues.
  • Sept 27 — 48th Annual Atlantic Antic, spanning Boerum Hill, Cobble Hill, Brooklyn Heights, and Downtown Brooklyn.
  • Oct 3–4 — 2026 Queens County Fair (43rd annual), Queens County Farm Museum, 73-50 Little Neck Parkway.

  • Grand Bazaar NYC — every Sunday, 100 W 77th St, 10 a.m.–5 p.m., free entry, proceeds benefit local public schools.
  • Chelsea Flea — Saturdays and Sundays, 29 W 25th St, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.
  • Queens Night Market — Saturdays through fall behind the Hall of Science in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, 4 p.m. to midnight.
  • Brooklyn Flea in DUMBO — Saturdays and Sundays, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
  • Greenmarkets — Union Square (Mon/Wed/Fri/Sat), Grand Army Plaza and McCarren Park (Sat), Forest Hills and Jackson Heights (Sun), and dozens more through GrowNYC.

The practical advice is to pick two or three rather than plan for all of them. Street fairs are mostly the same mix of vendors and food — the ones worth the trip are the neighborhood-specific ones: San Gennaro because it is San Gennaro, Atlantic Antic because it is 48 years old and a mile long, the dog parade because it exists.
