• LUNGS Harvest Arts Festival — still on, day 2 of 10 through Sun 9/27; today spreads across 12 LES gardens and every event is free: the jazz run at 11BC Serenity Garden (Rocco John & Ras Burnett 3pm, Eaton / Nahtal / Hertlein 4pm, Ben Stapp 5pm, Ras Moshe 6pm), music at 11th Street Community Garden 3–6pm and Green Oasis 5:30–8pm (Elliott Sharp, Arturo and Flamingo, SOURCE), 6B Garden’s Music Under the Stars 7–10pm with Joff Wilson, the Jack Hardy Exchange Songwriters Circle at DeColores noon–6pm, and Kenkeleba Garden’s “Art Offence” multimedia show 1–5:30pm.

• Queens Night Market — still on for Saturday and today’s the day: 4pm–midnight behind the New York Hall of Science, Flushing Meadows Corona Park — free entry, 100-plus independent vendors and small-scale cultural performances, then every Saturday through Oct 31 (7 train to 111th St, four blocks south; most stalls cash-only).
• 31st Ave Open Street — Season 7, Week 22 — today, free: the Queens United Women’s Market runs 1–6pm on the open street between 33rd and 35th (women-owned artists, makers and bakers), with the Quitting Factory’s Art Materials Swap running alongside it — bring unused supplies, take what you’ll use — plus the We Make the Future community banner lab 12:30–4pm.

• Red Bull Origin NYC at the Brooklyn Banks — today, free to watch: an invite-only street contest on the rebuilt Banks celebrating NYC skate history — jams at 12pm (10 stair), 1:30pm (Subway Car Showtime Showdown), 3pm (SHUT session) and 4pm (13 stair), invited legends included; the skating is by invitation, spectators watch from the park.
