Indigenous Art Workshop With NAIC-NY at Starlight Park — Free Crafts This Saturday

The North American Indigenous Center of New York is bringing a free Indigenous art workshop to Starlight Park this Saturday. Participants learn traditional Indigenous crafts and get a window into contemporary Indigenous cultures — led by NAIC-NY with the Bronx River Alliance.

• When: Saturday, Sept 5, 11 am–3 pm
• Where: Bronx River House, Starlight Park — 1490 Sheridan Blvd, Bronx
• Cost: free; first come, first served
• What: hands-on traditional Indigenous crafts, family- and kid-friendly
• Organizers: North American Indigenous Center of New York (naicny.org) + Bronx River Alliance
• Funded by: NYSCA’s Statewide Community Regrants Program, administered by the Bronx Council on the Arts

The workshop runs the same hours as the free Community Paddle kayaking at the same riverside house, so it’s easy to make a full free Saturday of it. Indigenous-led craft programming you can just walk into — no tickets, no RSVP.
