Brooklyn Bridge Park runs two free weekly fitness programs straight through the fall — one for runners and walkers, one for anyone who wants a coached outdoor workout. Both are no-cost, no-experience, show-up-and-move staples that repeat every week.

  • NYRR Open Run — every Tuesday, 6:45–8 p.m., Pier 6 (Atlantic Ave & Furman St): a free, community-led ~3-mile run open to runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. The route heads out under the Brooklyn Bridge and comes back past the Statue of Liberty, with the Lower Manhattan skyline the whole way.
  • Waterfront Workouts: Amp’d Bootcamp — every Wednesday, 6–7 p.m., Pier 2: free coached outdoor fitness on the waterfront (listed Wednesdays Sept 9 through Sept 30).
  • Cost: Free for both — no gym, no class pass, no pace requirement.
  • Register: Open Run sign-up at nyrr.org/openrun/parks/brooklyn-bridge-park or via a free NYC Parks account; the bootcamp is walk-up.
  • Fall dates: Open Run runs Tuesdays through September and into October — Oct 13 is a special Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration Run (7–9 p.m.).

If the post-summer fitness budget is zero, the waterfront is still free. A Tuesday 3-miler under the bridge or a Wednesday bootcamp at Pier 2 is a low-barrier way to keep moving as the weather holds — no membership, no commitment beyond showing up.
