New York City’s only corn maze is back for fall: the Amazing Maize Maze at Queens County Farm Museum runs every weekend through November 1, and the next chance to get lost in it is this Saturday, September 12. Queens Farm is the city’s oldest working farm — 47 acres of fields, livestock, and farmhouse sitting improbably in the middle of Queens at 73-50 Little Neck Parkway in Floral Park.
- When: Saturdays & Sundays, 11 a.m.–4 p.m. (last entry 4 p.m.), through Nov 1, plus Monday Oct 12
- Cost: $17 adults, $10 ages 3–11, free for 2 and under — online tickets required, free on-site parking
- What it is: a 3-acre corn labyrinth; you get a “Stalk Talk” first, then hunt clues and puzzles on the way to Victory Bridge, the elevated overlook above the stalks
- Bonus dates: maze included Oct 31 with Halloween on the Farm; add-on during the Queens Agricultural Fair Oct 3–4
It is rain or shine, strollers are welcome, and farm members get 15% off — tickets go through the farm’s site. A maze day pairs well with the farm animals (alpacas, sheep, goats, pigs) that live on the grounds, which makes it an easy half-day trip without leaving the five boroughs.
